Reviews

Sterling Court is an independent living facility for active seniors. I have a very special relative who has been living here for about a year now. I have been very satisfied with the staff, accommodations, schedule and cuisine.

Sarah, the executive director, has been nothing but helpful. She is very organized and personable. She knows everyone on staff and within the community. This may seem like a small token, but after having toured all the facilities in the area, I find it is an anomaly.

The way the place is organized is that the apartments are rented out by Sterling Court. With each monthly fee comes access to dinner every night, all activities and outings. If your loved one needs any additional care, you hire a group of caregivers that work within the Sterling Court community, but are not staff there. These caregivers have been pre-approved and checked out by Sterling Court and are trusted to work there and know how the community works. I can only speak for the caregivers that I have -- Bessie, John and Hilda -- but they have been most helpful and accommodating.

It is difficult to choose a facility for your loved ones, but I recommend starting here. Go here and then tour the rest. You'll see what I mean.

My dad lived at Sterling Court until the day my boyfriend and I had to move to Sacramento. During his stay there he truly enjoyed the full calendar of recreational, social, educational and cultural activities. From the very first day there dad felt he couldn't have been in better hands; the caregivers treated the residents as family and showed them genuine concern for their well-being. Sterling Court services and amenities included restaurant-style dining, cocktail lounge for specific occasions, games room, fitness center, computer room, laundry and housekeeping. It was not a coincidence that my dad did all he could to remain at Sterling Court as long as possible - even when we told him that we were moving to another city. It was such a lovely experience, I absolutely recommend it!

Two Thumbs Up!
"Growing Up" comes with decisions and choices. My mother started her 91st year with a fall and hip surgery. Living alone in a big house, dragging recycling bins to the curb... were no longer possible.
We toured a dozen (!) facilities. Many are newer, some are closer... but Sterling Court has high ceilings in the dining area, a giant courtyard, private patios....
When we discussed where you spend 90% of your (retired) day, it is in the dining room, in the courtyard.... Having 3 entree options at each meal, having multiple courses, having a "living room" and dining facilities that are vaulted and inviting matters!
My mother has now been at Sterling Court for 60 days -- and LOVES it. She's meeting new people, and raves about the food and the staff. (They clean her apartment weekly; they help her with WiFi and other challenges...)
I have to drive a few more miles to get to/from Sterling, but this was the best facility! No regrets! Sarah and her staff have been incredible!
