About

Burgers, pizza & other American fare served in a kid-friendly eatery with TVs & sports memorabilia.

The Canyon Inn opened in June of 1973. Since its inception Tim has been the proud proprietor. It grew from a small out of the way burger joint to a 49er hangout to the family friendly neighborhood gathering spot it is today! Tim couldn’t be happier with the evolution of Canyon Inn. We are truly a part of this wonderful community we call home. We have the best customers in the world and Tim loves when someone comes back to Redwood City to visit and comes in to see him and reminisce.

Great laid-back atmosphere in this sports bar/restaurant. Reminds me of the 70s vibe with local photographic pics of past celebrities and locals of community. If you are looking for chic, this is not it, but if you're looking for GREAT FOOD and friendly staff .. it's here!! Great variety of food choices .. burgers, pizza, etc they have it!!

This place has been forever. First it was 7-ELEVEN and somewhere along the line it became about burgers.

It's the perfect quasi-dive zone for a great burger. Nice vibe with 49er memorabilia back to the 70s/80s. A lotta love for the Bill Walsh era .There are no better onion rings on the Peninsula in my opinion. They've expanded the menu substantially which is why I'm reviewing a restaurant that's been around for so long. The options are tasty. I will say I tried their pastrami as I'm a big fan, and they Canyon-ed it up with stuff so it wasn't anything like a plain mustard/rye/pastrami & Swiss sandwich. I wasn't happy. But my bad. I didn't ask.

Tim (the owner) hangs around a lot.. Sits in a booth and reads, chats, straightens things up and does owner things. I like it. He might not get a name but he knows the faces and keeps an eye on stuff. I believe that has a lot to do with consistency here.

This is a great place to grab a burger. Or something else, and just take a break from the outside world.
